Went to the library and got “Swiss Family Robinson” and “Biographys” for school. Listened to “Man Hunters” and “The Magic Voice.” Advertisements

MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 1933

I had to give up the German Program rehearsal to go to Mrs. Putnam’s after school. Mother bought “Goodnight Sweetheart” for the piano.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 29, 1933

We went to the show about five and saw “The Match King” and “Tess of the Storm Country.” The latter was grand. Wish I could be like her. (J.G.).

SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, 1933

We went to the Jamaica Plain Theatre and saw Constance Bennet and Joel McCrea in “Rockabye” and “Too Busy to Work” with Will Rogers and Marion Nixon.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, 1933

Weston was not at choir rehearsal. Virginia and I didn’t have much fun. Mother brought home two boxes of Fanny Farmer’s candy.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 26, 1933

Mother stayed in town and got her hair waved. I went to Mrs. Putnam’s to practice. Didn’t read any of my books.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 1933

Mother stayed in town and went to the movies, but didn’t get her hair fixed. She saw “No One Man” at The Modern. Got home about 10:15. Fixed room up as well.
