SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 1933

Went to church and Sunday School. Marion was absent. Strawberry shortcake for dinner and supper. Mother and I took a long walk. Quite warm today.

Wrote 7 letters. Got hair cut. Mama went to Dixon to get fortune told. Marion’s birthday (13). She didn’t go to piano lesson with me. Daylight saving began.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 1933

Started a detective story in the Globe. Finished my book. Went to choir rehearsal. Listened to radio stories. We made apple cupcakes in school. Didn’t wear hat this week.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 1933

Waldo listened to the radio with me from 7:15 to 8:45. Mother saw “Terror Aboard” and “The Mind Reader” at the Paramount. Read “The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come.”

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26, 1933

It was cooler today. Marion didn’t come up. Didn’t go to Alice’s play. Practiced a lot. Grandma made a cake. Started “Men Forget.”

It was slightly cool today. Marion didn’t come after school. Neither did Esther and Margery. Started “Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come.” Legs sore today. Got a letter from Mr. Clarke.

Back to school again! Not so bad! Donned playsuit after school and playing with Helen G. and W.W. Letter from N.P. Mother bought bag and Detroit News.
