SUNDAY, MARCH 25, 1934

Mama and I walked way down to the museum. From there we took a car to the Fox and saw “George White’s Scandals.” I made fudge this evening. Came out good.

SATURDAY, MARCH 24, 1934

Mama went in town. I finished “Linda Carlton, Air Pilot” in bed. Oscar played in bed with me. Spent afternoon in a dress Mama cut out, but never made. Grandma washed my head and I took a sponge bath.

FRIDAY, MARCH 23, 1934

We went to the Alhambra tonight and saw “Design for Living” with Gary Cooper, Fredric March, and Miriam Hopkins, and “From Headquarters.” Started “Linda Carlton.”

THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 1934

It was much colder today. Oscar slept on our bed last night and kept us awake purring. Nettie lent me “Ruth Fielding, Homeward Bound” and “Linda Carlton, Air Pilot.”

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21, 1934

First day of spring–nice and warm. My dress is all done now. Mama and I went to look at 2 rooms tonight on King St, but they were taken. We bought a .25 box of chocolates.

TUESDAY, MARCH 20, 1934

Got a type-written letter from Nancy Fairbank. Nettie lent me “Tennis Terror” and I finished it. Lily was absent all day. It’s sort of warm today. Fixed feet tonight.

MONDAY, MARCH 19, 1934

Got a letter from Mr. Clarke. I had to fix the neckline on my dress. I finished “Pot of Gold.” Mr. Connally has a furnished flat for $20, but Mama doesn’t want to move around here.
