WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 1934

Finished “South of Zero” in bed. A grand book. Got up at 11:40. Sewed. Mama got a raise–$17.50 a week

TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 1934

Started and finished “Vinzi” and I started “South of Zero.” We had a thunderstorm. Mama’s mad because I’m not excited over the fact Miss Voltebeck may get her a better job, as she hasn’t yet.

We sat still during sewing period, so I went to Mary’s after school and sewed on her machine. Lily was absent. Mama was sent on a job and is going on a $30 job tomorrow.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 1934

We didn’t give the play as we had movies on George Washington. We rehearsed at Mary’s house and played snowballs afterward. Had a nice snow storm. Mama answered an ad.
