FRIDAY, APRIL 20 1934

Seymour Glanz–Sec. 19 won the district spelling bee. Came home after school and listened to radio. Mama and I saw “Last Patrol” and “Moulin Rouge” at the Alhambra tonight.

TUESDAY, APRIL 17, 1934

We went outside today after showers. Lovely and warm. Wore suit. We went to the Rosedale tonight. “Bombay Mail” and “Big Shakedown” with Charles Farrel.

FRIDAY, APRIL 13, 1934

Snowed today. Came right home after school and read “Archer and the Prophet.” We went to the Rosedale tonight and saw “Miss Fane’s Baby is Stolen” and “By Candlelight.”

FRIDAY, APRIL 6, 1934

Grandma’s 62 birthday! Gave her the towels. Mary and Lily came over and we made fudge. Went to Alhambra and saw “If I Were Free” and “Hips, Hips, Hooray.”

SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 1934

Mama was sent on a job and I had to wait 2 hours in Sanders. We went to the Michigan. Mary Pickford in person and “Mystery of Mr. X.” I got a croquignole in Rubbi’s –$4.50. Looks swell.

THURSDAY, MARCH 29, 1934

No more school for 10 days. I went to the library alone. Saw Jessie D. and Nettie there. We went to the Tuxedo tonight. “Beloved” and “Four Frightened People“! Great.
