MONDAY, MARCH 5, 1934

Grandma got letter from Esther. Uncle Dick is going to Miami for his cold. I started embroidering one of Grandma’s birthday towels in school and finished it at home. Real pretty.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1934

Lily was absent all day today. I went to Westminster with Mary after school and we stopped in to see her. Mary had .05 and I had .01 for candy. Oscar was up.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 1934

Lily had an attack of appendicitis ¬†at 2A.8 and went to the hospital. She went this morning, but was absent this afternoon. Came home after school and read “The Plucky Allens.”

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1933 (Mr. Clarke’s birthday)

Didn’t feel well today. Sore throat. Our class led the services in Sunday School. I finished “The Young Revolutionist” and started “The Light of Western Stars,” this evening.

Mama bought a lot of things for my feet which made ’em feel worse. We had the 2 step in dancing. Did my S. School work after school. Walked to Westminster St. with Mary.
