MONDAY, APRIL 2, 1934

I went to Mary’s and she was out. So was Lily and I had to take a walk as Grandma went out. Looked at a house on Marston. Finished “Toto and the Gift.” My hair looks lovely–all curls.

SUNDAY, APRIL 1, 1934

My hair looks lovely. All curls. Mary called for me and we went to Sunday School after 15 weeks. I made fudge this afternoon. Started “Toto and the Gift.”

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28, 1934

We sat still during sewing period, so I went to Mary’s after school and sewed on her machine. Lily was absent. Mama was sent on a job and is going on a $30 job tomorrow.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 1934

We didn’t give the play as we had movies on George Washington. We rehearsed at Mary’s house and played snowballs afterward. Had a nice snow storm. Mama answered an ad.

Grandma got a letter from Uncle Dick. Louis Mathes has started a cafe. We had a rehearsal at Mary’s. Lily was absent all day. Mama asked for a raise and made Miss Volterbeck mad.
