Stayed after school for Art to finish Christmas cards. Played piano in the gym when we left at 4:15. Mama was sent on another job. Grandma and I got Xmas presents from Melrose. Me–blouse, bloomers, paper hankies–G–apron, $1, dress. Advertisements

MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1933

Mama came home early and we went to H.P. and changed my shoes. She was interviewed in  Wyandotte today. Grandma wrote to Melrose. Hope Ma gets that job.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1933

Got Albert Friedman for partner in dancing. Anthony got Julia–gosh darn! Grandma got letter from Melrose. After school Mary and I played Parcheesi. M, G, and I walked to Craw’s and had sodas, also popcorn and candy.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 27, 1933

Uncle Dick came at 11:45 and drove us to Melrose. The Clarkes are there. I saw Kenneth Porter. Wallace rode home far as Summer St. with us. Listened to N.R.A. Allstar broadcast from 10:45 to 12.

MONDAY, JULY 24, 1933

Came to Melrose. Finished “U.P. Trail” before coming (about 4). Got there at 5:30 Had supper. Margery was at Lynn Beach — home about 8:30. Ice cream after supper.
