SATURDAY, APRIL 21 1934

I bought a pair of roller skates today–$1.49. Lily and I skated on Boston Blvd from 2-5. Grandma washed my head. Mama took back suit and got a navy blue suit. We bought some chocolate peppermints.

Went to Sunday School with Mary. Wore my new brown blouse and suit. We had “Mickey,” the white cat, upstairs all day. She’s lovely. I bought some candy.

We got weighed in gym. I am 99 lb. — 62 in. Didn’t go to Mary’s. Walked home with Lily Garrison. I read True Story Magazine after school. Wore my suit.

MONDAY, MAY 1, 1933

Last meeting of the Junior Alliance. Grandma went to Dixon’s. Mother bought me a beige suit (my first suit). It has a cape, and it’s nifty.
