FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 1933
We made pineapple whipped cream delight and gingerbread but Ursula’s got burnt up and spoiled ours. Mother stayed home. Took physic. Marion and I had fun after choir. One x in Deutsch test.

Wrote letters — Theresa J., Nancy J., M.S., E.A.T., and Margery. Mama stayed in town and went to a show.Miss O’Shea came in. Told story on Puffins.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29, 1933
Were lectured in school today by artist Vesper George. Wrote to Mr. Clarke. Practiced. Got birdstory about “Puffin” from Waldo. Read the papers. Marion didn’t come today.
TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 1933

MONDAY, MARCH 27, 1933
Marion came after school. We walked around pond. Gave her brown and blue skirt, striped dress, and blouse and sweater. Marion gave me two lovely brown dresses.
SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 1933
Stayed in bed instead of going to church. Grandma went to Melrose. I read and practiced and fooled around. Read both my diaries. Washed our heads. Took a physic.
SATURDAY, MARCH 25, 1933
Marion went to piano with me. I skated back down to her house. Finished “Facing the World” and did homelesson. Mother saw “42nd Street” and “High Gear” at the Modern.

FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 1933
Took a physic. Got a letter from Mr. Clarke. Was sick last night. Felt punk today. We made tomato bisque again. 100% in German. Marion came over. Mother brought 1 lb. of butterscotch and two movie magazines.
THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 1933
We had a German test and History test (70%). Marion came over after school. I practiced, then I gave her a piano lesson. She did pretty good. Shortcake for supper.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, 1933
We had a geography test. We went to hall 3rd period for Honor Roll, missed German test. Mary Ryan, in 8th grade got all A’s. Started “Facing the World.”
