WEDNESDAY, MAY 31
Mother stopeed work today. I got 82 in the intelligence test. Got a letter from and wrote to Elizabeth Talley. It rained hard today.
TUESDAY, MAY 30, 1933
It rained this morning. Grandma went to cemetery. Mother and I walked up to West Roxbury and rode back. I had a soda and a popsicle. Mother bought some peppermints. Practiced one hour.
MONDAY, MAY 29, 1933
Had an intelligence test. Went to operetta after school, “The Toymaker.” Grandma bought a hat and dress. We all went to the Jamaica Plain tonight and saw “Infernal Machine” and “The White Sister.” Awfully sad.

SUNDAY, MAY 28, 1933
Marion came up about 4 to get her letter. Wrote to Numismatic Co. We had a college ice on Mama. We did a lot of confidential talking. Walked around pond.
SATURDAY, MAY 27, 1933
Mother walked to Armory St. with me today. She didn’t work. I worked on my History notebook. We had layer cake, macaroons, and marshmallows.
FRIDAY, MAY 26, 1933
Mama walked to school with me. She got a permanent and didn’t work. Bought can of beans for Morgan Memorial. We cleaned pots in cooking. Didn’t see Marion at all today. Frozen pudding for supper.
THURSDAY, MAY 25, 1933
We spent two periods in music. The whole class stayed after about 5 minutes. Grandma went to the Arboretum with Mrs. Waring. Had an ice cream sandwich.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 1933
Wore striped brown dress, and got soaked in the rain. We only studied two periods. Operetta and merit rolls, y’know. Marion didn’t come. Grandma got Ma’s medicine. Started Boys on Ranch

TUESDAY, MAY 23, 1933
Got a letter from and wrote to Mr. Clarke, also Hattie, Anne D., and Nancy together. Marion didn’t come up. Geography test yesterday and English test today. Started Ralph Raymond’s Heir.
MONDAY, MAY 22, 1933
We jumped hurdles and things in gym. After school Marion and I walked up to Walter St., through the Arboretum, and home through Forest Hills. We bought candy and ice cream.
