SATURDAY, JULY 1, 1933

Letters from Mama, Mary S., and Theresa. Marion came at 12:30. Got to Mr. Clarke’s 2:30. Sprayed by hose at Nancy’s. Went for ride. No sleep till 5:30 A.M.

FRIDAY, JUNE 30, 1933

Margery and I went to the Children’s Museum this morning. Marion came for supper and took Margery home. Letters from Mama and Money Co. Wrote Mama at 9:00P.M.

THURSDAY, JUNE 29, 1933

Margery got some letters. Margery and I bought 25ยข cameras. Marion came up and had lunch and dinner. We played parcheesi. Had ice cream for lunch.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 1933

Got a letter from Mama. Margery and I played in bed. We had a picnic in the Arboretum. Marion had lunch and dinner with us. We took baths.

TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 1933

Margery and Esther came today. Esther stayed for lunch, then went home. Margery and I played. We got to bed about 10:20.

MONDAY, JUNE 26, 1933

Got a letter from and wrote to Mama. Margery didn’t come. Started “The Thunder God.” Grandma wrote, too. We listened to the radio.

SUNDAY, JUNE 25, 1933

Read on the porch today. Grandma washed my head, dried it on the porch. Very warm. Got up at 9:30. Fixed room and bought papers.

Two letters from Mama. Wrote to Mr. Clarke, Mary S., and Mama. Took my last piano lesson. Esther called up. Grandma made a white cake. Had shoes shined. Washed dishes.

FRIDAY, JUNE 23, 1933

Wrote to Margery. Marion didn’t come so I fixed up the front room and practiced. Grandma walked around pond. We saw “So This is Africa” and “Mysterious Rider.”

THURSDAY, JUNE 22, 1933

Letters from Mr. Clarke and Mama. Last day of school, but I didn’t have to go as they only had to get their rooms. Marion and I went up in the Arboretum. Loads of fun.
