I didn’t go to Sunday School. Mama and I looked at housekeeping rooms and apartments from here to Grand Blvd. and decided to stay right where we are now.

Finished button holes today. Wore other dress I made–looks nice. Nettie Kamer got a spiral permanent–$2. She just has waves. It snowed a little, but melted–much colder. Rent is raised to $4,50.

Started and finished “Vinzi” and I started “South of Zero.” We had a thunderstorm. Mama’s mad because I’m not excited over the fact Miss Voltebeck may get her a better job, as she hasn’t yet.

Lily came around today–first time. She’s moving Saturday. I went to the library alone. Mama didn’t get her raise and was awfully disappointed. Started “Robin Hollow.”

We pinned our patterns together in sewing. We moved to 57 Trowbridge this after. It’s awfully small and crowded and the stove’s not connected. They can’t fix it, either.

Grandma looked at a place on Herman, and we went there tonight, but it won’t do. Lily went to the library with me. My blouse came from Marion. Blue and white stripes.
