SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 1934
I finished “Archer and the Prophet” and read “Just Patty” and started “Bob’s Cave Boys.” Mama bought herself a lovely black and white checkered swagger suit and a red satin blouse. Suit $16.95.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11, 1934
Finished button holes today. Wore other dress I made–looks nice. Nettie Kamer got a spiral permanent–$2. She just has waves. It snowed a little, but melted–much colder. Rent is raised to $4,50.

MONDAY, APRIL 2, 1934
I went to Mary’s and she was out. So was Lily and I had to take a walk as Grandma went out. Looked at a house on Marston. Finished “Toto and the Gift.” My hair looks lovely–all curls.

My hair looks lovely. All curls. Mary called for me and we went to Sunday School after 15 weeks. I made fudge this afternoon. Started “Toto and the Gift.”

SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 1934
Mama was sent on a job and I had to wait 2 hours in Sanders. We went to the Michigan. Mary Pickford in person and “Mystery of Mr. X.” I got a croquignole in Rubbi’s –$4.50. Looks swell.

Didn’t go out today at all. Dinished “Vaino: A Boy of New Finland,” started and finished “No School Tomorrow” and started “Pot of Gold.” Plucked eyebrows and Mama polished my nails.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 1934
Mama went in town. She bought me a darling blue skirt and twin sweater outfit–$4.50. I didn’t get up till noon. Read till 3:30. Mama got a finger wave while I was in the library.
