FRIDAY, APRIL 13, 1934
Snowed today. Came right home after school and read “Archer and the Prophet.” We went to the Rosedale tonight and saw “Miss Fane’s Baby is Stolen” and “By Candlelight.”

FRIDAY, APRIL 6, 1934
Grandma’s 62 birthday! Gave her the towels. Mary and Lily came over and we made fudge. Went to Alhambra and saw “If I Were Free” and “Hips, Hips, Hooray.”

SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 1934
Mama was sent on a job and I had to wait 2 hours in Sanders. We went to the Michigan. Mary Pickford in person and “Mystery of Mr. X.” I got a croquignole in Rubbi’s –$4.50. Looks swell.

Went to the basket-ball game after school in the gym. Dwyer lost–Jewish Center won. Mama and I went to Alhambra. Saw “I am Suzanne” and “Eight Girls on a Boat.” Letter from Theresa Fucci.

Got a letter from Hattie Moores. Went to Lily’s after school. We had a fire–started in the cellar. We went to the Rosedale to keep warm. Saw “Women in His Life” and “Master of Men.” Smells smoky.

Got 4 valentines today. Have all French seams in my skirt stitched once. Nick and I discussed the play “Little Women” at Mary’s. Giving it instead of Rip Van Winkle. Got a letter from Marion.
